An important meeting was held in Austria within the scope of the “Back to Green” project coordinated by Artvin Coruh University. Stakeholders involved in the environmental awareness and sustainability themed project came together in Austria and made a comprehensive assessment of the project’s progress and future steps. The meeting addressed new strategies for developing sustainability-focused educational materials and implementing environmentally friendly digital applications. In addition to the work carried out within the scope of the project, project partners from different countries made valuable contributions to the project by sharing their activities and experiences in their own institutions. In this way, participants both presented successful sustainability examples implemented in their own countries and had the opportunity to benefit from the experiences of other countries.
One of the most important outcomes of the meeting was the completion of the final version of the survey conducted within the scope of the project. This survey was developed with the aim of spreading environmental awareness among young people and increasing awareness on sustainability. In addition, the “Green Book” draft included in the project and to be published was finalized. This book will constitute an important resource in the field of sustainability education. In addition, the studies carried out regarding the Environmental Education Program also played an important role in the meeting and formed the basis of future applications.
The “Back to Green” project stands out as an initiative that aims to raise environmental awareness among young people and encourage them to combat environmental problems. In line with this goal, the project aims to ensure the active participation of young people through various educational programs and digital applications and to spread environmentally friendly behaviors.
While the “Back to Green” project is taking firm steps towards increasing environmental awareness, this meeting held in Austria provided an international perspective to the project and enabled the implementation of new ideas and applications for environmental sustainability.
