Dr. Lecturer Hakan Gültekin, Director of the External Relations Application and Research Center and Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator of Artvin Çoruh University, made evaluations in Ankara at the invitation of the Turkish National Agency to provide information about the project titled “Green Chemistry Applications on Selected Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in the Artvin Region” with the contract number 2022-1-TR01-KA220-HED-000089361, which was completed within the scope of Erasmus+ KA220-HED Higher Education Cooperation Partnerships and determined as a “Good Practice Example” by the Turkish National Agency, and about our university’s general Erasmus+ table. In addition to the KA2 project, also known as “GreenChem”, Dr. Gültekin provided information about the ongoing KA2 project called “Back to Green” with a budget of 250,000 Euros. He also stated that 4 different Erasmus+ KA1 projects are being carried out within the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordination Office and that applications were made for 15 different KA1 and KA2 projects during the last application period, and that the results are awaited.
Dr. Gültekin also visited the Turkish National Agency Communications Coordinator, Dr. Rana Kasapoğlu Önder and Youth Programs Coordinator Alim Sarıaslan during his visit to Ankara and made evaluations about the projects.
During the meetings held with the Turkish National Agency officials, the contributions of the projects to higher education institutions, dissemination activities and sustainability plans were discussed. Expressing his satisfaction with the successful completion of the project and its inclusion among the examples of “good practice”, Dr. Gültekin emphasised that Artvin Çoruh University continues to set an example with the projects it carries out in the international arena.
